Monkey Moves

In was day tow by the time we got our hands on the Sony equipment and began capturing footage, but luckily we had planned several shots the day before.  

On Saturday we set up in Piccadilly Gardens where we saw an exhibition/workshop called Monkey Moves. This was an event produced by PlayStation in association with The Manchester International Festival and tied in with the range of martial arts employed in Monkey - Journey to the West.

I found this exhibition interesting and for one of the only sunny summer days in weeks, it provided a fun activity for people of all ages. It was great to see kids trying to replicate moves from the workshop and taking their lessons away with them. I was also fascinated with the discipline and respect that the teacher commanded - it truly felt like an ancient art form.
